shokomonk compared to…

The shokomonk does not fear any comparison. Regularly, he bravely faces the judgment of an impartial jury, for example the quality-tests of the German DLG.
The DLG in Frankfurt/Main is one of the most important organisations concerning the judgment and rating of the quality of groceries. Every year more than 20.000 products from Germany and countries abroad are tested in matters of quality regarding taste and processing.
So far the shokomonk rose to this challenge with six different chocolate bars. The result: four gold medals – one each for the flavours cocoa-nibs, strawberry-pepper, extrabitter and poppy seed (right, white chocolate!). The flavours cherry and pistachio failed in a very narrow decision at the last hurdle, but still got a silver medal. But they have got the gold-potential, just wait and see what happens next year.
On top of these great results the shokomonk is glad to announce that he was awarded with the “Landesehrenpreis” (award of honour of the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia). In 2009, this award was given for the first time to companies which have really high quality standards for their products. At a celebration on the Anuga fair in Cologne, Eckhard Uhlenberg, minister for environment and nature protection, agriculture and consumer protection of North Rhine-Westphalia, presented the award to the shokomonk.
To cut a long story short: we are really proud of these awards because they bear witness of the shokomonk-quality. And one thing we are pretty sure of: there will be more awards in the future.
